Marijuana company sells Florida operations

The medical-marijuana company MedMen Enterprises Inc. has closed a $67 million deal to sell its Florida operations to Green Sentry Holdings LLC, MedMen announced this week.

The sale includes the MedMen medical-marijuana license, dispensaries and cultivation operations.

Ed Record, MedMen’s CEO, issued a statement saying the sale is an “important” step in company restructuring efforts.

“We are pleased to announce the successful completion of this deal, particularly given the challenging economic environment we are operating in,” Record said.

MedMen’s website indicates it has stores in Broward, Miami-Dade, Orange, Escambia, Pinellas, Leon and Palm Beach counties.

It also has operations in Arizona, California, Illinois, Massachusetts, Nevada and New York, according to the website.
